Ever wonder why some “crazy” modern buildings look the way that they do?
Don’t be too quick to proclaim that modern building design is about ego.
Almost ten years ago, I sat in my undergraduate modern architecture class marveling at one of the buildings Professor Tate projected on the screen. It was the Finnish embassy right here in Washington, D.C. Since that day, I’ve been itching to go see it for myself in person. A few weeks ago I finally got off my ass and went to visit during the Passport DC open house. I was not disappointed.
